OK everyone, if you have come this far you are looking for recommendations for getting your roof fixed. Let me save you time and energy by saying don't bother to look any further than CJB ROOFING. They are MAGNIFICENT. You will not be disappointed.
I met with Chris from CJB Roofing to provide me with details of required work and a quote for my very old and leaky roof. This was for the back and front of a mid terrace house with a velux window. Including a lot of re-pointing to chimney breasts. He explained what they would do and the quote came out very reasonably. As soon as they were able to get the licences for the scaffolding, work was started. I was in India at the time for work, but because I trusted Chris and his team I was not bothered about not being there. Chris updated me everyday and sent photos of the progress. My son was around and said what a great bunch of guys they were. Extremely professional and always tidied up at the end of the day. Chris and his team also repainted the front of the house which I was not expecting and was not charged for. They also made good around the velux window inside of the house. They turn up early and if needs be will work on a Saturday - I think that's a rarity these days!!
Chris and his team are FABULOUS!!! I am hoping that I can use them for some other work I would like done.

What a great experience we had with CJB Roofing. It's always nerve-wracking when you're looking for someone to trust with the literal roof over your head, and the money you need to spend on it - and we were so pleased we found them. Chris himself came out to see the state of the ridge tiles that concerned us, and gave us a very prompt reply with his recommendations (based on his 40 years' experience in the industry). Everything was excellent - great communication, quick responses to any of my queries, and on the day of the work the team were led by another highly experienced foreman. They were all friendly, pleasant, so efficient - and everything was left even neater and tidier than it was when they arrived. Our ridge tiles have gone from distinctly dodgy to being the best on the street, we cannot recommend CJB Roofing highly enough.
Just by chance my wife asked an operative from CJB Roofing to have a look at our bay
windows and give us a quote to rectify the fault.
I had low hopes as over the years we had asked numerous contractors but none seemed to
be interested because it was a relatively small job.
True to form however, Chris Butcher from CJB Roofing paid us a visit and then another and
speculated on the probable causes.
On the third visit, Chris suggested removing the ceiling in the Bay Windows so we could
ascertain the exact reason for the slow collapse of the Bay Windows. It was then we
realised that the original installation of the double glazing, over 19 years ago, was of shoddy
workmanship.
It was so obvious that the original installation company were shamed into trying to rectify the
problems. They agreed to replace the faulty glazing which was deformed with triple glazing
and paid for all the additional construction works required, which was undertaken by CJB
Roofing. This included the removal of the tiles from the dormer roof, to lighten the load and
returning after the windows were installed to finish off the works.
This included the replacement of all the dormer tiles and any that were damaged.
Waterproofing all the outside including the new windows. Propping up the dormer roof which
was sunken, to make it level. Chris’s team could not have been more helpful, professional
and going beyond what was required. I had asked Chris to change the guttering whilst the
scaffolding was up which Chris did, free of charge. All works were conducted in record time
which included a Saturday and Sunday.
After the works were completed, I could not fault the workmanship. The crowning factor was
that my wife was presented with a really lovely bunch of flowers by CJB Roofing.
I would have no problem recommending CJB Roofing to conduct construction works, not just
roofing works.
